About the Chrysanthemum

Chrysanthemum comes from the Greek word 'Chrys' meaning golden (the colour of the original flowers) and 'anthemon', meaning flower. The Chrysanthemum flowers bloom in various forms and can be pompom, button and daisy-like, or decorative. Chrysanthemum blooms come in a variety of shapes and sizes and in a wide range of colours. In addition to the traditional yellow, other popular colours include white, pink, purple and red.

Growing Chrysanthemum

Chrysanthemums are not specific to any season. The plants can be grown in any kind of soil, but require sunny weather for best performance. Chrysanthemum seeds should be sown in those areas which experience low rainfall during the wet season.

Topaz

The colours of Topaz is yellow, however pure Topaz is actually colourless. The word 'Topaz' is derived from the word 'tapas' which means fire.
